The role

This exciting role offers a unique chance to develop your skills in creating, managing and optimising social video content for YouTube and other digital platforms.

You'll be working with some of the biggest brands in television, ensuring full-length episodes are effectively re-packaged and presented to online audiences. This includes creating eye-catching thumbnails, crafting compelling metadata and managing the posting process across YouTube and other platforms.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you have a strong understanding of video editing, SEO principles and a love for television, this is the perfect opportunity to leverage your skills and help shape the future of ITV's social video strategy!

This role is integral to increasing ITV’s exposure across YouTube, social media and the global AVOD market, so having a keen interest in these areas would be highly beneficial.

The role will entail but not be limited to:

  • Edit and upload video content for ITV's social video channels.
  • Design eye-catching thumbnails and craft engaging metadata that are tailored to each platform.
  • Track and log video content, maintaining accurate records for content management.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create engaging social media posts promoting long-form content.
  • Schedule YouTube and social video content according to best practices.
  • Assist the Digital Channels Manager in identifying content priorities and scheduling.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and stay updated on social media trends.
  • Transform long-form content into bite-sized social media videos, tailoring them for maximum engagement across platforms.
  • Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven video editing skills with experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Confidence in creating social video content in a variety of formats.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of YouTube and social media platforms, including the advanced back-end functionalities, to help optimise channel and content performance.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation.
  • Ability to create engaging and eye catching thumbnails and graphics.
  • Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
