Industrial Delivery Branch (IDB) has multiple roles available for APS6 Deputy Project Managers.
In these roles you will contribute to the establishment of domestic manufacturing of selected guided weapons and explosive ordnance in Australia. Working in a rewarding, dynamic environment that offers an exciting new challenge, the Deputy Project Managers will work on multiple tasks concurrently across a multi phased enduring program. As an APS6 in Industrial Delivery Branch, you will be given the unique opportunity to work in a high profile program within a diverse team to deliver to the Australian Defence Force, systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.
Your responsibilities will require you to apply your project management skills and experience to lead a diverse range of activities with Industry Partners, Foreign Government agencies and internal stakeholders in support of the acquisition and sustainment of Defence capability.
This position will be subject to an additional 10% Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This will be in addition to your agreed substantive salary on commencement. Please refer to the Defence Enterprise Agreement 2017-2020 for more information on BDCPs. BDCPs apply, subject to the following:
Note: This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
About our Team
Industrial Delivery Branch is part of the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division (GWEODD) and is responsible for the establishment of selected GWEO domestic manufacturing as directed in the National Defence Strategy 2024. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are located in Canberra and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
