Salary:£35000 & Joining Bonus £3000
Schedule:MondayFriday 95 37.5 hours perweek
Location:WirralMerseyside

Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside theCare team on shifts and supervising the staffteam
  • Be responsible for the effectivedaytoday running of the home in the absence of the RegisteredManager
  • Working flexibly to meet changingdemands and be willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Be responsible for workallocations and ensuring effective teamwork
  • Support the Registered Manager inensuring compliance with policies and procedures the SOP andmeeting all Ofsted regulations Quickly establish trustingrelationships with children and provide practical daytoday care forthem in a loving and supportive way which enables their growth anddevelopment
  • Take the lead in developing careplans and then work with each child to follow their care plan toreflect their changing needs and be proactive in working to achievethe aims of their care plan
  • Develop expertise in legalaspects of residential care and empower children to learn abouttheir rights express their views and participate in decisions thataffect them and to listen to them and take their wishes andfeelings into account
  • Cowork with other professionalsto create a therapeutic environment for children using techniquesto improve their selfregulation their emotional competence andconnectedness to others
  • Encourage children to fullyparticipate in society by developing links with the local communityand expanding their social network Support children to see familyand friends and to have them visit when appropriate
  • Lead on the risk assessment ofactivities transport children to activities outings holidayseducation as necessary (in Juno vehicles) and accompany them onpublic transport
  • Maintain accurate records thatare objective and strengthsbased in relation to children andoversee the records kept by colleagues Ensure all records andreports address the needs of children and the requirements ofOfsted and partner agencies or otherprofessionals

Who we are lookingfor:
  • Someone with a level 3 inChildren’s residential care (or equivalent) and at least2 years’ experience of working within aChildren’s residentialsetting.
  • Experience in supervisingstaff
  • Competence in using variousMicrosoft Software
  • Full clean drivinglicense
  • An experienced Senior of Deputylooking to further theircareer.
