About the Role:
Our client, a world leader in power quality products, IoT devices, and refrigeration controls, is seeking a Customer Support Engineer to join their R&D department. As a Customer Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our OEM customers with new and existing products. You will provide technical advice, assist with product configuration, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting OEM customers with product advice and application guidance
Communicating with customers via email, phone, Teams, etc., as necessary
Issuing Customer Technical Bulletins on product changes
Maintaining a customer support database
Preparing and sending product samples and accessories to customers
Assisting with the use of configuration software and mobile applications
Authorizing product returns and handling product failure analysis
Occasionally visiting customers overseas to provide technical support and investigate issues
Job Requirements:
HND or higher qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a similar discipline
At least 5 years of practical industrial experience with electronic products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of electronic circuits and ability to read schematic diagrams
Experience in using hand tools, soldering components, and electronic test equipment
Problem-solving skills with a positive attitude
Self-motivated, well-organized, and excellent time management skills
Flexibility in tasks and able to work at our client's head office in Langley
Eligible to work in the UK and available for international travel at short notice
Willingness to occasionally work outside regular office hours
