As a member of the Customer Care team at McDonald's Shipley, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service experiences for all customers. You'll be responsible for addressing customer enquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining a positive atmosphere within the restaurant. Your primary objective will be to uphold McDonald's commitment to delivering outstanding service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Role involves working various shifts including mornings, days, evenings, nights and weekends - Earliest start of shift will be 7am-latest finish 1am.

Main Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the restaurant.
• Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations.
• Answer enquiries regarding menu items, promotions, and pricing.
• Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring attention to special requests/dietary restrictions.
• Handle cash and electronic transactions, maintaining accuracy in cash handling procedures.
• Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area and service stations.
• Monitor and restock condiments, napkins, and other supplies as needed.
• Follow proper sanitation and hygiene protocols, adhering to McDonald's standards.
• Assist with basic cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
• Work cooperatively with other team members to provide efficient and effective service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and promptly.
• Support colleagues during busy periods by pitching in where needed.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated.
• Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, creating a positive dining experience.
• Engage with customers in a courteous and attentive manner, demonstrating genuine interest in their needs and preferences.
• Proactively seek feedback from customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance the dining experience.
• Promote McDonald's loyalty programs, promotions, and special offers to encourage customer participation and repeat business.

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiasm for providing excellent service and creating positive customer interactions.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
