Responsibilities


Business Development
  • Work with the CEO and other departments to innovate company processes for sales.
  • Manage and oversee internal and external business development activities.
  • Conduct analysis of the Database for potential clients, contacts and results.
  • Develop and manage a network of professional contacts to support the expansion of the Company.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Initiate discussions between decision-makers and the CEO.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in business development opportunities.
  • Obtain quotes and key information from potential marketing vendors and present as pros and cons to the CEO, to aid assessment of opportunities
  • Marketing
  • Oversee and contribute to advertising materials in order to support the development of the company..
  • Design sales campaigns for use in brochures; e-advertising; telesales, website and other opportunities.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify, develop and maintain the Company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Establish and maintain brands through a variety of media sources, including direct marketing, social media and third-party consultants.
  • Oversee the creation of website and social media content with Business Development.
  • Oversee and monitor competition marketing initiatives.
  • Promote through a variety of sources training courses/seminars and other services offered, in addition to promoting courses via a third party.
  • Venue organisation for training and conferences.
  • Liaison with third-party providers of telesales and any outsourced marketing activities for updates, new promotions, status, payments and contracts.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and sales pipeline.
  • Review, develop and distribute newsletters/industry ‘e’ shots.
  • Oversee and attend roadshow development work.
  • Provide periodic updates to the team to advise of any articles in the media where the Company may be featured.
  • Measure the success of various sales campaigns and report to the CEO.
  • Work with the CEO to ensure a quality and consistent approach to Sales with Marketing.
  • Management of the Sales team (contract at present), including leading 1:1 meetings, staff appraisals and support recruitment activities as required.
  • Attendance at management team meetings.
  • Administrative
  • Ensure the company’s brand guidelines for products and services are up to date with the latest developments in sales.
  • Provide other departments with branded versions of documentation when required.
  • Assisting with the undertaking of bids and bid defences where required.
  • Maintain an awareness of current clients and associated activities.
  • Management of departmental training of other staff members where required.
  • Such work requires the employee to follow strictly the guidelines, company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Practice Documents (WPDs) in place and observe the regulations in this highly regulated area of medicinal drugs, medical devices and cosmetics.

  • Desired qualifications and/or experience
  • Sales & Marketing educational background (degree preferred but not essential)
  • Sales & Marketing experience relevant to the role
  • Experience in management or leadership (desirable but not essential)
  • Practical experience in sales Campaigns
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
