About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Basingstoke starting from September 2024. This role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time positions available, depending on your availability.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Your primary duties will include maintaining classroom management, ensuring a positive learning environment, and managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies. This role is essential in maintaining the continuity of students' education when their regular teachers are absent.
This position is ideal for graduates, unqualified teachers, and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are passionate about education and eager to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to students across various subjects and year groups.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
- Support students' educational development and engagement during lessons.
- Uphold school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Assist with additional classroom duties as required.
Requirements:
- UK residency (this advert is only open to UK residents).
- A strong interest in working with young people and supporting their education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Flexibility to teach across different subjects and year groups.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
