Cover Supervisor – Camden Secondary School – September 2024 

Role: Cover Supervisor 

Salary: £100 + per day

Contract: Full time, Long term

Location: London Borough of Camden

Start Date: September 2024

Are you an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with young people?

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Cover Supervisor to provide cover for absent teaching staff and the facilitation of learning by Key Stage 3 and 4 students in the absence of their teacher. 

Other duties include:

Ensuring cover lessons are appropriately supported and monitored within the agreed system of supervision

Supervising whole classes, large and small groups as requested during the absence of teachers

Covering duties and other school systems as and when requested.

Who we are looking for:

At least 6 months’ experience of working in a similar role with students of the relevant age including classroom behaviour management.

Excellent communication skills and a high level of personal organisation

Must be able to work professionally under pressure to meet deadlines, and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school to ensure maximum progress and outcomes for learners

Good standard of general education including English and Maths and IT skills.

Be familiar with and able to differentiate work according to individual needs when appropriate.
