Job Description:Perform accounting activities and provide financial support to the Corporate North business
Prepare and input monthly results to HFM of designated Corporate and business HFM entities
Input to HFM certain forecasts and budgets for designated Corporate and business HFM entities
Prepare templates and statutory note disclosures for the Consolidated Corporate Business
Prepare Consolidated Corporate Business variance analysis through investigation and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders
Liaison with the external auditors in responding to queries on the Consolidated Corporate results
Working closely with London Treasury to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for and presented in the Corporate North results
Support Corporate North Manager in providing the Finance overview of Group step plans (dividends, funding, restructuring, etc) impacting London entities. Monitoring the payment process in conjunction with Treasury
Support the Corporate North team to Monitor financial transactions and reporting activities for compliance with Group and local statutory requirements
Assist the wider Group Finance team and others regarding queries on SAP and Ariba.
Balance and agree loan accounts and other intercompany balances with relevant business Finance teams
Liaison with branch Finance teams in Chile and Australia, as well as monitoring various other small branches and permanent establishments in completing reporting tasks
Perform first line review of certain statutory accounts and manage the relationship with the shared service centre who prepare the draft accounts. Responding to relevant queries raised by external auditors and tax firms Qualifications:Commercial and technical accounting issues and good knowledge of accounting standards
Working knowledge of financial systems – SAP, HFM-Hyperion and FDMEE an advantage
Preparation or review of UK financial accounts
Demonstrated experience working within a team to deliver against set targets
Strong proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills and excellent computer literacy.
Use a range of data and information sources to perform analysis and produce management reports
Understand and apply relevant accounting principles, IFRS, policies and processes
Understand the fundamental principles of effective financial systems
The Corporate Accounting Analyst is responsible for the financial reporting for designated entities of the Corporate North business and certain holding entities within other Group businesses. To timeously and accurately process financial information, reconcile all balance sheet and general ledger accounts and ensure statutory returns are processed timeously.
