Compliance Manager Job in Sevenoaks, Kent

Due to continued growth, a multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is hiring for a Compliance Manager to join their office in Sevenoaks. Offering a salary of up to £65,000 + Bonus + Travel + Excellent progression opportunities. You will be joining a growing consultancy with a strong pipeline of work in the public sector.

This consultancy offers a variety of services, including project management, fire safety, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management. Their expertise lies in the residential, healthcare, and education sectors, working with developers, housing associations, and local authorities. With a team of 100 employees across four offices, they are well-regarded for delivering new build, refurbishment, and remedial projects throughout London and the South East. This role will be overseeing compliance across the business, ensuring the business remains compliant across all of its service offerings, internal processes, IT systems, training and PI renewals.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Align business systems and operations with company strategy, focusing on growth and planning.
  • Lead assessment and implementation of company management systems to improve efficiency and data-centric operations
  • Oversee and ensure company compliance with legislation, manage certifications, and enhance company credibility
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and all quality-related matters
  • Manage internal and external audits, risk assessments, and company-wide quality policies and procedures
  • Oversee IT strategy, system evaluation, and compliance with information security standards, including extending AI capabilities
  • Manage project and document management systems, customer feedback, and supplier qualification schemes
  • Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers to ensure compliance with sustainable procurement, optimal SLAs, and cost-efficient operations
  • Collaborate with the admin team for customer service, document control, and business support, ensuring smooth operations
  • Refine and test disaster recovery and business continuity procedures in conjunction with the IT department
  • Manage facilities, ensuring security, Health & Safety compliance, and overseeing contractors, fire wardens, and first aiders
  • Work with Directors on marketing and communications strategy, including website, social media, and more
  • Oversee RICS regulation, H&S updates, CDM competencies, PII renewals, and website updates
  • Manage staff training events, resource tracking, CRM, and monthly risk management meetings; support bid submissions and cyber essentials sign-off.
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working in a similar compliance manager role from either a consultancy, legal, building control, or similar regulated sector
  • Ideally relevant industry qualifications and training, ISO, CQP, NEBOSH, etc.
  • Ability to travel to their Head office in Sevenoaks, although there is also opportunity to work out of their London office for some of the week
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
