Job Description


  • Home Help - Collecting prescriptions, light housekeeping, checking food expiry dates, pet care, home maintenance, shopping, collecting prescriptions.
  • Companionship - become a companion and encourage conversation, provide reminders for medication, activities, outings, stimulate and encourage activities - walking, hobbies and monitoring diet and eating
  • Personal Assistance - please note some duties are light personal assistance and may involve just being present for reassurance rather than actually carrying out bathing, dressing and grooming. Please call our Recruiter Lorraine to gain more an insight into the duties involved.
  • Dementia Assistance - assist with morning wake up calls and evenings services, help with continence care, dressing and bathing, eating, drinking and medication reminders.

 


Qualifications

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Professional. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.

 

You must be passionate about what you do, with your own car - essential because we travel between clients and 'drive them to appointments' on a daily basis. You must also have a full British Driving Licence to enable you to apply for the compulsory class of insurance necessary.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK and this will be established later during any recruitment process. We are currently NOT licenced to sponsor people and are unable to use people currently sponsored by other companies.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT THE APPLICANT RESIDES IN THE UK AND HAS THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK. We are not sponsoring VISA applications at this time.
