Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health Club Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Health Club Manager r will oversee the day to day running and strategic planning of the engineering operation, ensuring the delivery of service excellence and the highest levels of guest satisfaction. You will also oversee the implementation of an effective preventative maintenance programme, whilst managing the efficient maintenance of hotel equipment and facilities.

Role responsibilities include:

Responsible for the efficient running of the Health Club, ensuring a fun, safe and friendly environment for members and hotel guests.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To ensure the Health Club is clean at all times and all records updated

• To implement all Health and Safety procedures and ensure all staff are following them

• To implement all cleaning rota’s as per normal operating practices

• To lifeguard the pool as and when required

• To carry out the Duty Manager role and shift patterns as per role

• To train all staff regarding “in house” induction

• Ensure COSHH is kept up to date and relevant training is performed for Health Club and Spa

• To cover Reception duties

• To perform tours and promote the facilities when required

• To work closely with the hotel Maintenance team for any maintenance / repair requirements

• To understand the Health Club and Spa system and assist on membership administration.

• Liaise with the Health Club Manager regarding targets and revenue

• To carry out and oversee pool and plant tests as required.

• To monitor and interact with all gym and Health Club users

• To write relevant programmes for gym users

• To assist with the organisation and running of exercise classes

Key requirements & qualifications:

You will be a positive, enthusiastic and resourceful individual with excellent IT, verbal and written communication skills, along with a proven ability to plan, prioritise, multi task and self manage, without constant supervision. Flexibility, adaptability and attention to detail are also key requirements of the role.

A plant room qualification is desirable.

Key Requirements:

Previous Engineering management experience is essential.

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position and be in possession of a current work visa.
