The Senior Director of the Clinical Delivery Center of Excellence (CoE) is a seasoned leader responsible for driving financial and operational performance across a portfolio of full-service studies. They leverage their leadership skills, clinical delivery experience, and client relationships to support new business opportunities and growth within Fortrea. This role also involves establishing strong client relationships and being recognized as an industry leader both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational and Financial Management:
Oversee clinical delivery for a portfolio of studies, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with Regional Heads to ensure proper resourcing and productivity.
Maximize financial performance through strong financial stewardship.
Utilize operational, financial, and quality metrics to monitor and manage portfolio health.
Participate in risk management to ensure patient safety and data integrity.
Implement process improvements based on experience and lessons learned.
Leadership:
Promote a learning organization and drive performance improvement initiatives.
Develop and execute company and department strategies, initiatives, and operating plans.
Ensure consistency in quality, standards, policies, and practices across the portfolio.
Build and sustain a scalable organization with a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing talent, and strengthen succession planning.
Apply quality management principles and act as a role model.
Commercial:
Create differentiating clinical delivery strategies considering industry changes.
Partner with Country Ambassadors to support country-specific growth plans.
Foster new and existing client relationships at senior operational levels.
Drive adoption of innovative clinical delivery models while ensuring financial viability.
Support the development of competitive clinical delivery strategies and proposals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years in research and clinical research, including 3+ years leading cross-functional development programs.
Experience in client relationships and business development.
Demonstrated clinical delivery experience and financial acumen.
