Essential Criteria

Must have a full uk License

1 years experience supporting Children and Young People.

This position is not full time, the shifts would start from 8am to 10pm, 7 shifts in 3 weeks. Averages at 28-30 hours a week

Week 1 – 3 long days no sleeps

Week2 – 3 long days no sleep

Week3 – 1 long day no sleep

Although you need to have a driving License, you will not need a vehicle as they are provided.

My Client is a leading provider of support to young people and children, and due to continued growth have an exciting new opening for a Children’s support worker. Duties and Further Information:

To assist the Home Manager & Service Manager, in ensuring that the home operates in such a way which maximises the potential for resolving young people’s problems and encourages their healthy development.

To provide an environment which is conducive to young people with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities, and manage the home effectively to ensure that the children are looked after professionally and appropriately in a warm, caring and therapeutic environment.

Demonstrate leadership and efficient organisation

Ensure and promote correct & effective administrative and record keeping systems

To ensure that a coherent approach is adopted towards childcare planning for children within the home.

Ensure that conditions are both safe and healthy and that

the environment is pleasant, comfortable and homely.

Liaise with external bodies and relevant individuals

To actively liaise with educational provisions, local schools and colleges of further education to ensure that the appropriate education and training is afforded to both young people and

staff.

To ensure that the home is kept in a clean and tidy.

Requirements: drive, experience working with challenging young people (12 months +), willingness to travel to other homes in the area if required due to staff shortages, preferably have NVQ level 3 Children and Young People, or be willing to work towards this.

Your annual salary package, will be from £19k based on PART TIME depending on experience and Qualifcation
