Our service user is a teenage boy who lives with his family in Loughborough.

We’re looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join his team, providing care throughout the night on a 1:1 basis, at his family home.

Upon arrival to his home, he will already be settled down for bed and often has a restful night’s sleep with minimal interruptions. He will sometimes wake up in the early hours, but will often watch a DVD to settle down once again.

Overnight, you will offer comfort and reassurance when needed, promote a restful environment and provide close supervision and observations due to his respiratory needs. You will also carry out careful repositioning when needed, tend to his clinical interventions and ensure that his needs are met in a timely manner.

Please note, there is a family dog in the property so it is essential that you are comfortable around animals.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience with the following:

  • 3 months previous care experience

  • Moving and Handling
  • Pet Friendly
  • Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role:
