In this fantastic, strategic role, you will be accountable for strategy and planning for a Sourcing Category within Procurement, to deliver competitive advantage for HSBC through lifecycle value generation, demand management and innovation by bringing best in class people, processes and tools together to enable optimal commercial outcomes for the category at local, regional and global levels in their spend with suppliers.

You will demonstrate deep category knowledge to create and continually review robust and forward-looking category plans and strategies that use the full range of supply and demand-side levers and will seek to identify new sourcing opportunities, assessing their relevance and potential value to the organisation.

You will maintain in depth external market knowledge and commercial best practice, applying these within their category, supporting the Head of Workforce Sourcing to embed best in class practices and innovation in service offerings. This is a key strategic role with the expectation of delivery through a team of SMEs in both Category Management and local sourcing teams.

In this role you will:

·Work closely with the Global Head of Workforce Sourcing and other Category Leads and Regional Heads to deliver against the identified portfolio of initiatives with a focus on the end-to-end management of Consultancy.

·Ensure a robust governance process is embedded within source to contract practices that aligns across all of Workforce Sourcing

·Utilise advanced skills in analysis/synthesis in the application of a range of commercial models, with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and value creation.

·Manage our key strategic supplier relationships.

·Monitor buying channel compliance, for the business/function with whom they own the Procurement relationship and drives corrective action as necessary, both individually and via the Categories resource pool.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·Extensive working knowledge of procurement governance, risks, and controls.

·Experience of post contract processes and the risk management of procurement contracts

·Extensive experience managing the expectations of, and negotiating with, senior stakeholders.

·Line management experience desirable

·Workforce/Consultancy procurement experience is essential

This role is based in any UK Office Location.
