Location: Based in Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry, County Armagh
Contract type: Casual
Rate of pay: £ per hour
Manual UK driving licence held for minimum of two years is essential

You could make a difference to someone's day by assisting their discharge from Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry. What does a day in the life of a Support Worker involve? 

  • Acting on referrals from Daisy Hill Hospital to collect patients who are ready for discharge.
  • Transporting patients home using a British Red Cross vehicle.
  • Ensuring patients are settled at home following their hospital discharge.
  • What do you need to be a successful Support Worker?

  • Are you thoughtful, caring and patient and have a natural way with vulnerable people?
  • Do you some experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting?
  • Are you able to manage your own workload?
  • Are you IT literate?
  • Please note, there is no personal care or administration of medication required in this role.
