Career Coach

We have a new opportunity for a Career Coach  to join our new Skills delivery team based in Kent who will work as part of a team, to identify and onboard learners onto our multiply courses and support them throughout their journey and onto employment. They will build strong relationships with employers to help identify, generate and secure vacancies with guaranteed interviews and sustainable jobs. The role is both learner and employer facing and requires the ability to present confidently and engage with learners at key stages of their programme. Our Career Coaches are brand ambassadors for  PeoplePlus.  They sell our services to organisations, engage with local referral agencies and ensure we are meeting the recruitment needs of our learners. This is a fixed term position and the end date will be December .

 

Have you got what it takes?

You should have a passion for what you do along with relevant and recent experience of building employer relationships and engagement alongside generating new opportunities. You will need to have knowledge of local and regional labour market and employment trends, business threats and opportunities, whilst also being commercially aware.

You should be comfortable going on site visits, be able to present our services and offer effectively, face to face whilst building effective long term working relationships with employers. You should have excellent influencing skills and be able to respond positively when working to demanding targets.

What we are looking for?

• Teaching qualification – Level 3 e.g. AET / PTLLS/ CertEd (Essential)
• Highly skilled communicator
• Knowledge of the unemployed provision and employer/learner experience
• Ideally have an IAG qualification Level 2 or willing to work towards one
• Experience in Skills Programme delivery

• ​ 1B - Courses designed to increase confidence with numbers for those needing the first steps towards formal numeracy qualifications.
• 4B - Courses aimed at people who can’t apply for certain jobs because of lack of numeracy skills and/or to encourage people to upskill in numeracy order to access a certain job/career
• 6B - Courses for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills to help their children, and help their own progression
