We are looking for a compassionate and resilient individual to join a dedicated team at a school in Liverpool, where you can make a real difference in the lives of students.
About the School: The school is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young people with special educational needs. Each student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in place, tailored to their specific needs. They believe that with the right guidance and support, every student can achieve their full potential.
The Role: As a Care Worker in our school, you will bring your valuable experience from the care sector into an educational setting, where your understanding and empathy will help our students thrive. You will be working closely with students on a 1-1 basis as well as supporting small classes, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 support to students, helping them to engage with their learning and reach their goals.
- Assist in small class settings, working alongside teachers to deliver tailored support based on each student’s EHCP.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that the care provided is consistent and effective in meeting the needs of the students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where students feel safe and supported.
- Demonstrate resilience and patience in helping students overcome challenges and build confidence.
The Ideal Candidate: We are seeking someone who is:
- Caring: You have a natural ability to connect with young people and understand their individual needs.
- Resilient: You can handle challenges with a calm and positive approach, always focused on what is best for the students.
- Experienced: You have experience working with young people with special educational needs, ideally in a care or educational setting.
- Collaborative: You work well as part of a team, sharing insights and strategies to ensure that students receive the best possible support.
Requirements:
- Experience in the care sector, particularly working with young people with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This is a full-time position based in Liverpool, offering a rewarding opportunity to transition your care experience into the education sector.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
