Purpose of role
To make sure customers receive excellent quality care and support to help them remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. A supportive and calm manner together with excellent organisational and communication skills are vital for this important role in our company.
Roles and Responsibilities as a Care Co-Ordinator
Be the first point of contract via the telephone for all Customers and Care Assistants
Ensure that Care assistants are appropriately and efficiently allocated to customers so that care is delivered on time, safely and in line with the customers wishes on their care plan.
Ensure that carers are kept within their allocated areas for their work and that they have their allocated hours within their stated availability
Distributing Staff rotas weekly and ensuring that there are sufficient staff to deliver care and support on time. Planning in advance to ensure that a long term plan is in place
Accept, allocate and process new customer referrals for care and support promptly whilst liaising with Customer service Managers and Recruitment teams.
Reports to the Registered Care Manager
Working as part of the management team to take part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota.
Work flexibly as part of the team and apply Bluebird Care policies and procedures at all times
key qualities include - ability to work under pressure, on own initiative, great team player, excellent communication skills, caring and compassionate. Willing to learn and develop
Your Experience and Suitability for the Role
Previous appropriate experience in social care or of leading, managing a team
Right to work in the UK
Living within or very close to the borders of the London Borough of Wandsworth
Excellent level of English
Good administrative and IT skills with attention to detail
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Excellent time keeper and reliable

An excellent rate of £23 000-£28 000 per annum.
