An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The London Clinic in a new role, supporting the Chief Executive’s Office as Business Manager. This role is based at The London Clinic’s Main Hospital in London, W1G 6JA with a competitive salary of £60,000 inclusive per annum on offer.

 

Job Profile

 

The role will provide support the Chief Executive’s Office with responsibility for planning and management of the day-to-day work assigned to the Medical Director (MD), and the potential of some line management duties.

As Business Manager you will Represent the Chief Executive’s Office within a variety of settings, involving a wide range of stakeholders across the London Clinic, as well as healthcare providers, commissioners, clinicians, patients and carers and the wider public. Additionally, the role will support the planning and delivery of the senior leadership team responsibilities by ensuring that robust systems and processes are in place, coordinating leadership meetings and follow-up actions.

 

Job Type:             This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.

Location:            The London Clinic, 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW

Salary:                  £60,000 inclusive per annum.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Provide Executive support to the MD which includes reviewing overall performance objectives and supporting the development and implementation of business plans for timely execution and delivery.
  • Lead the day to day running of the MD Office ensuring required outcomes are identified and delivered to schedule.
  • Review and delegate service related tasks to the MD’s direct reports to support service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of business plans/objectives in line with the objectives of the MD Office.
  • Communicate and follow up on action plans highlighting individual accountability for delivery within established time frames.
  • Ensure that an efficient administration service is provided to the MD at all times. Ensure a professional, adaptable and customer focused service is delivered.

Skills & Experience

 

  • Evidence of maintaining continuous professional development.
  • Educated to post – graduate degree level in a relevant subject (such as Business Management Studies) or equivalent level of demonstrable experience working in a similar role or specialist area.
  • Knowledge of healthcare service management, including change management and workforce redesign acquired through formal training and experience.
  • Experience of managing people and teams.
