Job Description

 

  • Develop comprehensive Tender Action Plans in collaboration with Business Development and Operations Managers upon receiving an ITT or project.
  • Coordinate and manage timelines for information gathering, responses, and submissions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to collect relevant and specific information required to submit winning tenders, such as photography, client references, and key statistics.
  • Oversee and communicate the workload and priorities for the bid/design team, ensuring all submissions meet client and school-specific objectives while highlighting Holroyd Howe’s unique offerings.
  • Conduct thorough checks to ensure bids contain the latest information, innovations, and meet the highest standards.

 

  • Participate in company innovation and development sessions to gather ideas and information for future projects.
  • Liaise with internal and external design and print companies to create compelling marketing visuals, folder designs, and servery/kitchen visuals as needed.
  • Support and help manage several Independent School conferences throughout the year, enhancing our presence and reputation in the sector.

 

  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain effective business relationships with clients by understanding their needs and translating them into tailored solutions.
  • Conduct formal client review meetings and ensure all food and services are presented in line with company standards, utilizing innovative methods.

 

  • New Business & Retention:

  • Engage in retention and new business activities, understanding the unique elements of our business and aligning them with specific client objectives.
  • Produce development and marketing plans that highlight our strengths and drive growth.

 

  • Team & Personal Attributes:

  • Foster a collaborative ‘one HH team’ approach, building strong relationships with colleagues across all teams.
  • Ensure submissions are school-focused, bespoke, and industry-leading, adhering to deadlines while respecting others' workloads.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our growth and ensuring our tender submissions are not only competitive but also showcase the unique value we bring to our clients. You will work closely with Business Development and Operations Managers to craft winning proposals, manage key stakeholders, and maintain strong client relationships.

 



Qualifications

 

  • Experience in operations, ideally as a Catering Manager, Support, or Operations Manager.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to plan ahead and work independently with a commercial, financial, and operational mindset.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
