Building Maintenance Operative

Join a growing, family run company as they look to grow their Facilities Team. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the upkeep and development of company buildings and facilities. This role involves a variety of general building maintenance tasks to maintain safety, security, and condition standards. Working a 39-hour week, Mon-Fri this is a great opportunity. It's ideal for someone with multi-trade skills and property maintenance experience, a broad skillset is preferred.

Who This Job Would Suit: This job is perfect for individuals with at least three years of experience in building trades or property maintenance. Joinery candidates are preferred. Candidates should possess a City and Guilds craft certificate or a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in a relevant trade, along with multi-trade skills, a full UK Driving Licence. A positive can-do attitude and a creative problem-solving mindset is preferred for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of planned and reactive building maintenance tasks. Work will include general building maintenance, joinery, tiling, painting, paving, plumbing, drainage, and other external work.

Conduct planned preventative maintenance in line with set programs.

Provide general facilities support, including furniture building and grounds maintenance.

Communicate effectively with unit managers to minimize disruption.

Adhere to health and safety policies and perform risk assessments.
