£83 - £90 per day dependent on experience
There is an exciting opportunity to secure a 1 year contract at an ‘Outstanding’ two form entry Mainstream Primary School based in Banbury. This is a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant opportunity to work with a child in a Year 4 (KS2) class who is deaf. The position requires someone with BSL Level 2 training and who has experience in a similar role would be ideal. The role is available to start Banbury.
The Banbury, Wiltshire Primary school would ideally like to meet candidates who have a degree and who have some experience working with Special Educational Needs e.g. Autism, ADHD, dyslexia. This role will entail a variety of responsibilities and will offer excellent experience for the teaching assistant appointed. Minimum standards will include Maths and English at GCSE graded C or above.
You will be working on a 1:1 basis with this hearing impaired child.

There are SEND children within the Year 4 (KS2) class and your role will be to support their individual needs. The needs include ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, global delay, SEMH, physical and behavioural challenges.
This is a fantastic platform for aspiring teachers to gain valuable experience in preparation for completing their teacher training the following year or BSL related career. This is a teacher training school meaning that successful BSL Teaching Assistant can start in September 2024.
