Main duties of the job

Bank Staff Nurse

We are looking to recruit Registered Nurses to our Community Nurse Bank. This is to support Community Nursing Teams across the Wirral.

The Bank plays a vital role in supporting ongoing service provision in the event of absence, vacancies or unpredictable increases in workload.

Experience is desirable but not essential. You should be motivated and be able to deliver high quality evidence based skilled nursing care within the community setting to meet the needs of the housebound patient. You will have good communication skills and be able to work autonomously but also work in an integrated way; as close working with our integrated rapid response teams, Community Matrons and social services colleagues is essential to ensure seamless care to out patient.

In addition to a structured mandatory training package, Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust will provide a comprehensive induction strategy and local orientation to the service. There is an excellent in house training allowing each individual the opportunity for further learning and development.

Access to a car for work purposes is essential as is a full driving licence.
