About the role

:

The South Community Assessment/Review Service for Older Adults is a highly dedicated Adult Social Care Team working across the Dunstable, Houghton Regis, and Leighton Buzzard areas of Central Bedfordshire.

We are currently looking to recruit an ASYE Social Worker to join our busy and multi-skilled Adult Community Assessment/Review Team. The Team is committed to supporting people to be as independent as possible with a strong focus on improving individual outcomes in a strength based, person centred way, the use of Integrated TEC and creative solutions. You will be expected to complete holistic assessments as required by the Care Act 2014 which also include Mental Capacity Assessments and Safeguarding investigations. Adult Services is fully committed to working collaboratively with our health/partnership organisation colleagues to provide a seamless multi-agency response in supporting residents with their health and social care needs. Our collective practice has a strong focus on early prevention and optimising levels of independence. The Community Assessment Service is continually striving to ensure that best practice is delivered to the people we serve and is investing heavily in being a vibrant, supportive, and inspiring place to work; this will be improved dramatically with the Integrated Health and Care Hub development that has been built. The role is currently largely based working from home, combined with working from Grove View, Dunstable and some collaborative time with your team in the office. You will be required to complete face to face appointments with persons receiving the services and carers and where appropriate through visual virtual technology.

The successful candidate must have a recognised Social Work qualification. You will need to be currently Social Work England registered.
