M&A Associate
The Company
Our client is an independent, integrated investment bank focused on mid-cap UK equities. They have a highly successful corporate broking business providing corporate advisory and stockbroking services, and have been developing a M&A offering for their clients and other businesses over the last year
The Opportunity
They have a strong commitment to building the M&A business, offering advice to public companies on a variety of M&A mandates, and this has created the need to hire at the associate level to complement the Analyst and VP they have already hired under the MD.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
Preparing financial and valuation models
Strategic research for clients
Drafting relevant corporate finance and related transactional documentation
Project management and execution of transactions
Liaising with the relevant regulatory bodies on the behalf of corporate clients
Supporting other members of the team as necessary, with analysis, research and due diligence
Person Specification:
The successful applicant will have:
A minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent from a recognized university
Excellent communications skills
A demonstrable track record of success
A strong interest in the markets
For the associate role the successful candidate will have:
At least 3 years’experience in a plc advisory environment
Probably worked at an investment bank, otherwise a top 6 accountancy firm
Entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to work in a small, fast growing team.
