  • You will create and design effective implementations of PMO and project controls frameworks and strategies on assigned commissions.

  • You will supportbest in class service delivery and effective engagement with wider industry and professional bodies to promote Mace

  • You will bedeveloping your expertise in PMO and project controls, with a growing internal and external network (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders)

  • Supports administration of PMO and project controls process on a project operating under supervision and mentorship of more senior PMO, project controls or project/programme Management professionals assigned to commission.

  • Assists with the preparation of monthly reports as required.

  • Contributes to the facilitation and delivery of performance reporting and reviews.

  • Assists in the development PMO and project controls methodologies such as EVM.

  • Contributes to the delivery of all PMO and planning disciplines (such as risk management and planning)

  • Supports to ensure that all PMO and project controls activity is aligned to Mace control centre.

  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

  • You will manage project teams in the administration of the PMO and project controls process, particularly with respect to the cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting.

  • You will support the HUB PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
  • You’ll need to have: 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Willingness to be part of a high performing team.

  • Articulate and has potential to assimilate information quickly.

  • Attention to detail.

  • General interest in construction/consultancy sector. 

  • General interest in PMO and project controls disciplines including reporting and performance management. 

  • Basic awareness/understanding of basic risk principles, processes and techniques.

  • An interest in data analytics.

  • General awareness/understanding of construction / consultancy sector.

  • Seeks to continuously improve.

  • Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) (or equivalent).

  • APM planning and project controls Foundation. 

  • You’ll also have:

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. 

  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise. 

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen. 

  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams. 

  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
