Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for sample management and organisation
- Administrative support for technical team, including workbooks, meeting minutes, email management, file management
- Maintaining style records and keeping the critical path up to date
- Measuring and quality checking samples when they arrive into the business
- Identifying measurements out of tolerance, fabric flaws and garment defects to the supplier and team
- Attending fit sessions and typing fit comments
- Liaising with suppliers to chase missing product information
- Organising samples for photoshoot deadlines
- Assisting to meet critical path deadlines
- Working closely with the design and merchandising team through the product development stage for every style
- Ensuring garments are produced to the required quality standard, communicating any issues to suppliers and the technical team
- Assisting with returns investigations
- Supporting on embedding the quality expectations of the brand within the wider team
- Understanding the brand’s handwriting, fit and quality standards
More about you
- Preferably a degree or similar within technical textiles
- Experience in Quality Control or Garment Technology will be an advantage
- An understanding of garment patterns
- Basic knowledge of knit and woven fabrics
- Must be able to work efficiently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Have a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident and willing to learn
- Able to use Microsoft office suite effectively, must be technically competent
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Desire to progress and grow within a team, taking on extra responsibilities where relevant.
