Architect Job in Chelmsford, Essex
We are currently working with a growing and highly successful architectural practice that has a new Architect job available. This practice is thriving with a strong pipeline of developer-led projects and continuous development. The ideal candidate will have experience working on residential projects, particularly with housing developers.
Based in the city centre, the practice has grown significantly over the last few years and is now expanding with a second office and into the urban design and landscape sectors. They currently collaborate with several of the largest names in residential development in the UK.
Their portfolio includes everything from one-off bespoke homes to large-scale residential developments. Due to an increase in projects, they are now seeking an Architect with large-scale residential project experience to join the team.
Role & Responsibilities
Take a lead role in the running of projects
Work on residential development projects ranging from 50 to 5000 homes
Production of design and planning drawing packages
Presenting to clients
Coordinating with internal teams on a range of projects
Developing client relationships and working on business development opportunities
Working closely with external consultants.
Required Skills & Experience
Must have a minimum of 3 years of project experience in the UK
UK residential experience is essential
Proven track record in the planning stages of large-scale residential projects
Competent in managing the planning process
Experience working for or with a housing developer is highly beneficial
Proficient in using AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign
Revit experience would be highly beneficial
You will be required to be in the office so must be in commutable distance to Chelmsford.
