  • Role Accountabilities:

  • To support the Telesales Manager to lead, plan and implement the domestic sales growth strategy.
  • To take responsibility of a data set of lapsed customers to win back and promote additional services.
  • To grow and develop new customer base in areas of low penetration.
  • To ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.
  • To develop and maintain existing customer base into new areas.
  • To complete the apprenticeship training programme with Learning Skills Partnership.
  • To comply with Group H&S policies and behaviours.
  • To support the Telesales Manager to lead and implement the domestic sales growth strategy.
  • To support the development of the domestic sales strategy, which ensures growth targets are achieved.
  • To support the development of the sales through targeting prospective and existing /lapsed customers within chosen markets to create relationships and secure new business.
  • Manage the sales pipeline of leads from the company data, self-generated, marketing and other sources across the business including inbound calls.
  • To reduce number of cancelled customers by establishing reason for cancellation and acting within the best interests of company and customer to retain the business.
  • Cross and up sell new products and services to new and existing customer base.
  • To effectively communicate with all functions within the business to ensure customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
  • To deliver sales and associated profit margins in line with expectations.
  • Ensure all customer activity is logged on the CRM package, including all interaction, calls, emails, meetings, opportunities, quotes, and complaints.
  • To ensure individual / team meets sales targets.
  • Support the achievement of daily, monthly, and annual targets, (call, quote, and sales)
  • Ensure Key performance indicators (calls per hour, wrap, calls answered) are adhered to and exceeded.
  • To ensure revenue generation above targeted parameters to ensure the growth and sustainability of the role and business.
  • To ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.
  • Take full responsibility for the delivery of the Customer Charter.
  • Provide a proactive customer care support function which builds on customer needs and provides an opportunity for revenue generation.
  • Take responsibility for all customer complaint case work ensuring all issues are dealt with in line with Group guidelines.
  • Be an ambassador within the business.
  • Demonstrate and provide the highest levels of service and professionalism to internal and external customers.
  • Be proactive and adopt a strategic approach to all your activities.
  • Communicate clearly at all levels within the business.
  • Proactively manage your time and activities to the highest level of efficiency and output.
  • To complete the apprenticeship training programme with Learning Skills Partnership.
  • Complete the online training and onsite sessions with your apprenticeship tutor.
  • Submit all coursework and assignments on time.
  • Regularly update your apprenticeship assessor regarding the progress of your apprenticeship.
  • Apply your knowledge obtained from the training to your daily duties.
  • Comply with the Group’s compliance targets policy and behaviours.
  • Ensure personal responsibilities under the Group’s H&S policy are understood.
  • Ensure personal responsibilities under the Group’s environmental policy are understood.
  • Act in a manner that keeps yourself and your colleagues safe at all times.
  • Support the target of nil people/vehicle incidents.
  • Person Specification

    The Candidate:

    Essential

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including an ability to effectively deal with telephone and email enquiries.
  • Maintains and inspires a results-driven approach, focuses on results and critical performance indicators.
  • Identifies opportunities and is pro-active in putting forward ideas and potential solutions.
  • Shows by a range of verbal and non-verbal signals that the information being received is understood.
  • Good IT skills with experience of using MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective organisational skills
  • Evidence of ability to work co-operatively with others to meet tight deadlines
  • Desirable

  • Previous sales experience is desirable but not necessary but the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the knowledge and skills associated with selling is required.
