We are hiring for Apprentice Lift Engineers for our next generation. A full-time apprenticeship with Schindler involves experience rotations across our business following a 42 month structured programme, on: Service and Maintenance, New Installations, Modernisation, Repairs and Escalators. This will allow our apprentices to develop a full range of skills in all aspects of our business. We are looking to recruit an Installation Apprentice in Northampton and surrounding areas, to cover multiple sites with an array of different equipment focusing on passenger and goods carrying elevators. Here you will learn and complete all the steps to install a Schindler elevator from start to finish, including being part of the test and inspection process to place the elevator into the client’s service.

The successful candidate must be hard working, determined and ambitious with a passion for learning and progressing their career within an innovative customer focussed company. At the end of the apprenticeship and upon successful graduation, you'll become a fully qualified lift engineer with a NVQ Level 3 Lift Electromechanics qualification and formal qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. If at the time of graduation, a relevant position becomes available, you'll be offered the opportunity to join one of our Field Operation teams with the potential to further your development within Schindler.

Candidate Requirements:
• Good communication skills
• Applicants should have at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (A-C) Future prospect
• Applicants should have a full UK driving license (or working towards achieving within 12 months of applying)
• Customer service skills

• Logical thinking
• Good practical skills
• Analytical Personal qualities

Working hours Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 16.30pm Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm Total hours per week: 37.00
