Join the Rubberatkins team, to shape the future of alternative energy with a forward-thinking company. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our expansion into the hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, geothermal, wave and wind.

If you're passionate about driving positive change through alternative energy solutions and have a proven track record in business development, we want to hear from you. The position is based in our Aberdeen office reporting to the Managing Director. The key responsibilities for this role are –

  • Spearhead the exploration of new business opportunities in the alternative energy sector.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and strategic partnerships.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for alternative energy ventures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business goals and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and potential clients.
  • Leverage your network to create impactful partnerships that drive growth.
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of potential clients interested in alternative energy solutions.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our innovative offerings.
  • Oversee the development and execution of alternative energy projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand project requirements and provide valuable input.
  • Bring creative ideas to the table, fostering an environment of continuous innovation.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a demonstrated history of success in business development, particularly within the alternative energy sector. They must exhibit a comprehensive understanding of wind, wave, geothermal, and carbon capture & storage technologies. Strong communication and negotiation skills, strategic thinking ability, proficiency in data analysis, and a talent for making informed business decisions are essential. Additionally, the candidate should have project management expertise, emphasizing the successful delivery of intricate projects.
