Job Description:

Gateway Team Leader ( Imports )

YOUR HOURS

40 Hours per week - Mon-Fri, 9 am - 5:30 pm.

YOUR PURPOSE

To oversee the smooth operation of the Import Gateway

• Overseeing and managing the cargo operations to ensure smooth functioning of Gateway ops
• Coordinating with cargo handling agents, transport providers and customs for efficient movement of cargo
• Ensuring compliance with international and domestic cargo regulations and standards
• Overseeing cargo security and ensuring safe handling of goods
• Implementing and managing cargo handling and operating procedures
• Managing relationships with airlines, clients, and other stakeholders
• Planning and scheduling cargo shipments, tracking d and addressing any delays
• Assessing and reviewing the performance of the cargo operations and implementing improvements
• Managing and leading the cargo operations team
• Preparing and managing budgets and financial reports for the cargo operations
• Developing contingency plans to handle cargo operations during emergencies or disruptions
• Getting the best out of your team, ensuring they're just as focused on process, safety, productivity, and up-to date on all training requirements to fulfill duties and tasks

General activities include:

• Managing the performance of the team and reassign duties if needed.
• Organizing and motivating individuals in way that optimizes the entire team's output with Heads, Hearts and Hands mindset
• Supporting other team leaders and work with management team to improve process.
• Completing daily reports so that unseen opportunities can be identified.
• Always, always, always ensuring services are delivered within specified deadlines.
• Giving optimum customer service to internal teams with the end customers needs always in strong focus
