Job Description
Processing invoices and verifying transaction information
Preparing payments by accruing expenses and assigning account numbers when needed
Resolving account discrepancies by investigating documentation
Providing financial status information by collecting, analysing, and summarising account data
Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
Maintaining historical records by filing documents electronically and physically
Disbursing petty cash by verifying documentation and recording entry
Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Accounts Payable Assistant' should have:
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (not essential)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
An ability to analyse information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
