30% of the Applebridge Family Senior Management Team joined the business as Trainee/Apprentices – Training and Development is truly at the heart of Applebridges’ success. With an investment of 120k into developing their training environment and over 65 staff enrolled on training programmes they are looking to recruit an Academy Manager to lead on the delivery and management of all Academy Apprenticeships and Graduate/Trainee programmes. The role will involve:

  • Supporting all Employees’ training and development across the Group including the management of all Academy Apprenticeships and Graduate/Trainee programmes.

  • Facilitating the recruitment of all Trainees and Apprentices

  • Managing their ‘Multi-trade’ Academy Training Programme in partnership with Middlesbrough College.

  • Developing teams and individualised training plans addressing the needs of the business.

  • Identifying and assessing current and future training needs, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of training trends, developments, and best practices.

  • Conducting quarterly Trainee Performance Reviews with direct line managers and attending quarterly Apprenticeship Reviews with all Universities, Colleges, and Training providers.

  • Completing monthly Academy Board Report.

  • Liaising with outside agencies such as CITB, TVCA, Local Authorities, Colleges, Training Providers and Apprentices Education and Skills Funding Agency to ensure Funding and Funding Grant claims are completed timely from all funding streams available.

  • Building positive partnerships with Local Communities, Schools, Colleges, and Universities to drive positive social impact and supporting on all Social Value activities to meet framework demands.

  • The Applebridge Academy is a relatively newly formed division of the Family that has had a big impact. They are inviting applications from individuals who believe they can continue to develop and lead the Academy, helping to ensure the business has the skills and knowledge required to meet future growth plans. Applicants should have and extensive background in training and development supported with some experience in the Construction Industry. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be required to interact with and influence a wide range of people.
