Appoint Consulting are recruiting on behalf of an established company that is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse Manager to join their team. Responsibilities
Line management responsibility
To devise and implement the strategy for management of all warehouse functions
Guide and support the recruitment, performance improvement and career development of the warehouse teams, including maximising efficiencies
Daily execution of best-in-class customer service levels and stock level accuracy,
Manage available resources and set the benchmark for operational management and, planning
Monitor, control and report on stock levels, trends, and shortages
Maintain reliable and accurate stock figures at all times
Ensure the warehouse is organised, equipped, stocked, and staffed properly in line with future requirements for volume, handling, storage, shipping and value-added service
Implement and monitor excellence in Health & Safety management
Ensure the Warehouse Management System is up to date at all times
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Previous management experience gained from a warehouse environment
Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
Hands on approach, able to lead from the front
Demonstrable results in implementing continuous improvement programmes
A Forklift Licence is desirable
Computer literate
