The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a Tutor with SEN experience to provide 1:1 support to a young person who requires support in the core subjects of English & Maths.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must be qualified and have a background and strong understanding of SEN.

Position Details:

Location: Lambeth

Position: 1:1 Tutor

Hours: Up to 15 hours per week

Timetable: 5 days per week

Times: 3 hours a day (during the school day)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Experience of working with students with complex needs

Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

UK classroom teaching experience

Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must:

Hold the right to work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child-related references.
